The GSSI Global Benchmark Tool was developed through an inclusive process led by three Expert Working Groups (EWGs) followed by two stakeholder consultations and an extensive pilot test with eight seafood certification schemes worldwide.
Each EWG has one or two GSSI Steering Board members acting as Ambassadors of the group. The Ambassadors act as a liaison between the Steering Board and the EWGs to ensure effective communication throughout the GSSI’s governance structure. The Ambassadors support and monitor the GSSI EWGs’ work and progress.
