Group will create consensus measures to ensure mutual recognition and comparability of credible seafood certification programs

Bonn/ Eschborn, February 2013 – An ever-growing global population and the increasing importance of fish as a staple source of dietary protein have combined to threaten the ability of our oceans to maintain healthy fish populations, and led to rapidly increasing production through aquaculture.
